It’s just a small shop here at Atria M Worli Shilpgiri. We occupy Unit No 5 on the ground floor. Most days it is quiet and we spend time rearranging the carpets and the little wooden items we bring from back home. People come in just to look at the patterns sometimes. We have been here for a while now and most of the regulars know us by name. It is not a very big space but we pack it full of things from Kashmir like shawls and some brass work. Sometimes the mall gets busy on weekends and we have to help a lot of people at once. My brother and I take turns sitting at the counter. It isn't anything fancy, just a place to buy some art and craft things if you like that sort of stuff. We try to keep things tidy but with so many rugs it is hard to keep everything in its place. The lighting in the shop is a bit dim because it helps the colors of the silk look better. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just walk past and come inside when they see something they like in the window. We mostly just talk to customers about where the pieces come from and how they were made. It’s a simple way to spend the day and we like being in this part of Worli.
