We've been at Shop No 11, 132/G Bhagatwadi, for a long while now. It's tucked into the B Kalbadevi area, right near the Kabutar Khana. If you know the neighborhood, you know it gets busy with people and birds. My father started with handicrafts years ago, and we just kept it going. The shop isn't huge, but it's packed with things we've made or collected. Sometimes it feels a bit crowded in here, especially when new stock arrives. We spend most of our days sorting through items, fixing bits that need it, and talking to people who wander in from the street. It’s a bit dusty because of all the wood and fabrics, but that’s just how it is. People usually find us because they’re passing the pigeon area and see our sign. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. It's mostly just shelves and stacks of work. Working in Kalbadevi means dealing with the traffic and the noise, but it's home for the business. Sometimes the lights flicker a bit, or the door sticks in the monsoon, but we manage. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking, just keeping the craft stuff moving and helping out whoever walks through the door. It’s a simple living. Most of our neighbors know us by name by now. We’ve seen the street change quite a bit, but our little corner stays pretty much the same day to day. We just keep our heads down and work.
