J. S. S. Exports

You'll find J. S. S. Exports on the first floor of the Kapadia Building. We are right on Kalbadevi Road, specifically at number 313. This part of town is always packed with people moving goods back and forth on handcarts. Being on the first floor is handy because we don’t have to wait for the lift, which is often full of heavy sacks anyway. The Kapadia Building is an older structure, but it has a lot of character and thick walls. Our office has high ceilings and big windows that let in some natural light, though they also let in the constant sounds of the honking horns from the street below. We’ve arranged our desks to make the most of the limited space we have. It's often a bit messy with paperwork and cardboard boxes, but that’s just how a busy export office looks. We don’t have any fancy decorations or art on the walls. There’s a basic calendar and a clock that’s always a few minutes fast. Most days are spent checking long lists and making sure things are headed to the right place. We take turns going out to get chai for everyone in the afternoon from the guy on the corner. It’s a habit now. Kalbadevi Road is a bit of a maze, but once you find our building, it’s easy to get to us. We’ve been working out of this spot for a long time and the floorboards are worn down from years of use.
