You’ll find India Craft Centre over in Malad East, right in the Sankalp Siddhi building. We are in unit B-001, which is easy enough to find once you get into the Dindoshi area. It’s a bit of a crowded neighborhood, but we like it here. The space is mostly filled with different bits of handiwork and things people have made. It’s not a showroom where everything is under bright spotlights. It’s more of a working shop where we keep track of inventory and talk to the folks who make these items. Some days it’s quite a mess with packing materials everywhere. We’ve been at this location for a while now. The building is just a regular spot in Malad, nothing too special to look at from the outside. We spend most of our time sorting through new arrivals or making sure the current stock is stored correctly. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fans going full blast. Working with crafts means dealing with a lot of different materials and fragile pieces, so we have to be careful. We don't have a big marketing team or anything. It's just us handling the day-to-day tasks of running a craft business. People stop by occasionally, but mostly we are just busy with the logistics of it all here at Sankalp Siddhi. It's an honest living and it keeps us on our toes every single day.
