Hind Watch Repair

If you go to B/1 Veena Apartment on Bhagat Singh Road, you will find our shop there. Hind Watch Repair has been in this Goregaon spot for many years now. It is a tiny corner, really. We have a lot of small tools and tiny screws everywhere on the main table. My father started this business and now I sit at the same wooden bench every day. Most people come because their battery died or the strap broke on their favorite watch. We see old mechanical watches and the new digital ones too. The Link Road traffic is always loud outside but inside it is quiet because you have to concentrate on the small parts. Sometimes a watch just needs a good cleaning to start ticking again. We do not promise it will be ready in five minutes because some jobs take real patience. It is funny how people get attached to their watches even if they have a phone in their pocket. We get that feeling. We treat every piece with care because it belongs to someone. The light in the shop is not the best but we have our desk lamps for the fine work. If the shop is closed for a bit, I am probably just grabbing tea downstairs at the stall. People know to wait a few minutes. Goregaon has changed a lot since we opened, but Hind Watch Repair stays pretty much the same with our old drawers and the smell of metal.
