Hema Exports

Hema Exports is based in Mazgaon on Moore Road. We are in units 302 and 305, which is quite close to the Dockyard Road Station. Being near the station is helpful because of all the movement in this part of the city. We deal with exports, so there is a lot of back and forth with shipping and customs paperwork. The office is often filled with boxes waiting to be sent out or samples that just arrived. It can be a bit chaotic at times, especially when a big deadline is coming up. We spend a lot of time on the computer and the phone, making sure everything is where it needs to be. It’s not the quietest office since the trains are always passing by nearby. We have a small team here who have been doing this for a while, so we know the routine well. The walls are mostly covered in maps and schedules. We don't really have a lobby or anything like that; it's more of a working space where things get done. Sometimes the lifts in the building are slow, so we end up taking the stairs a lot. It’s just part of being in an older building in Mazgaon. We focus on getting the goods out on time and keeping our records straight. It’s hard work, but we are used to the pace of the export business in this neighborhood. We just keep our heads down and handle the shipments day by day.
