Hamdani Handicrafts

Our workshop and office are at 27/33 Mazgaon Terrace on Nesbit Road. We’re in the Mazgaon area, near the Mazgaon Court and not too far from the 5th Main on the way toward the airport road. We make and sell handicrafts here. It’s a place that smells like wood and polish most of the time. We have various items displayed around the room, but it’s more of a workspace than a fancy boutique. You’ll see people actually working on pieces when you walk in. We aren't a big factory. Everything is done in small batches or one at a time. The building is an old terrace style, which gives us some decent space but it’s definitely not modern. We’ve got stuff piled up in corners and tools hanging on the walls. It’s a bit disorganized if you aren't used to it, but we know where everything is. We don't have a big marketing budget or a social media team. We just make the things and people come to buy them. Sometimes we ship things out, but a lot of it is just local folks or people who know our work from years ago. It’s a slow process making things by hand, but that’s just how we do it. We stay busy with the orders we have and try to keep things moving. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time and the airport road traffic is just something we live with.
