Gurudatta Watch Repairs

We’ve been here at 3 Sun Mill Lane for a while now. Most people find us because we are right near the Sarang Building. It’s a busy spot in Lower Parel, but inside the shop, it is usually quiet because you need focus to fix small gears. My father taught me how to handle these tiny parts when I was younger. We deal with all kinds of watches, from the old ones that wind up to the ones with batteries. Sometimes someone brings in a clock that stopped ticking twenty years ago. It takes time to find why it isn't moving. We sit at the bench with the magnifying glass and just get to work. It’s dusty work sometimes, cleaning out old grease. People drop off their watches on the way to work and pick them up later. We don’t have a big fancy setup. Just the tools we need and a few spare parts in the drawers. If a glass is cracked or the strap is worn out, we can usually sort it out. It’s just what we do here every day. Lower Parel has changed a lot, but we are still in the same little corner. We don't do anything flashy, just sit here and fix what's broken. It's a living. Most days are steady. We know most of the people who walk by. If your watch is acting up, you can just bring it over and we will take a look.
