Genuine Watch Company

Genuine Watch Company has its home in the Nawab Building, right on D N Road in the Fort area. We are directly across from where Thomas Cook is, so it’s a very easy place to spot. Fort is one of those places in Mumbai that always feels like it’s in a hurry, with all the offices and the big old buildings around. Our shop is at number 327. It’s an old-style place, not like those new malls you see everywhere. We have tall ceilings and heavy doors. Inside, we have plenty of watches on display and a small area in the back where the actual repair work happens. We spend a lot of our time looking at tiny gears and springs. The building itself is quite grand, even if it shows its age in some places. We like being part of this part of town. Most of our customers are people who work in the nearby offices or sometimes tourists who are wandering around the historic sites. We don't have any fancy corporate slogans or big missions. We just want to fix watches and sell a few pieces to people who need them. Sometimes the traffic on D N Road gets so loud you can’t hear the ticking of the clocks, but that’s just life in Fort. We have been here for years and plan to stay for many more.
