Ganga Times

If you find yourself on Hill Road in Lower Parel, you might see our place. Ganga Times is situated in the Chinay Building, which is part of the Zeras Business Centre. It’s not the easiest building to spot if you’re driving fast, but it’s there on the second floor. We mainly focus on watches and keeping them running properly. The space isn't huge, just enough room for the display cases and a small work area for repairs. Lower Parel has changed a lot over the years with all the big offices and malls, but we’re just a small part of the old business vibe. People come in with watches that have stopped working or they want a new watch that looks decent but doesn't cost a fortune. It’s usually just one or two of us behind the counter. We see a lot of office workers coming in during their lunch breaks or after they finish work for the day. Sometimes we have a lot of repairs piled up, so the workbench looks a bit messy with tiny screws and tools everywhere. It’s a quiet kind of work compared to the noise on the street outside. We’ve been at this address for some time now and have grown used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. The building has other offices too, so there’s always people moving in and out. We just keep doing our thing with the clocks and watches, making sure everything is ticking right for everyone who visits.
