Gala Watch Repairing is tucked away in Shop No 4 at Shreenath Shopping center in Vile Parle West. It is a small place, but it serves the local community well. People from around Vile Parle know us because we have been in this shopping center for a long time. It is not one of those huge malls; it is more of a local spot where people come for their daily needs. My workspace is small, just enough for my chair and my tools. I spend most of my day looking at the inner workings of watches. It takes a steady hand and a lot of focus to get things right. Sometimes customers stay and talk for a bit while I work on a minor issue. It makes the day go faster. We do not have any flashy advertisements or big neon signs. The shop is simple and functional. We keep the old parts in small tins and boxes stacked on the shelves. It is a bit dusty, but it is organized in its own way. Many of our customers are people who have been coming to us for years.
