Baltic Export Pvt. Ltd.

We operate out of Monghi Niwas, right there on Police Court Lane in the Fort area. It’s an old building, No. 1A B, and the stairs can be a bit of a climb sometimes. Baltic Export Pvt. Ltd. has been tucked away in this corner for a bit. Being in Fort means it’s always crowded outside with people rushing to the courts or the stations. Inside our office, it’s mostly just stacks of papers and people on the phone talking about shipments. Dealing with exports means we are always looking at clocks and checking on where things are stuck. It’s not a glamorous job, mostly just tracking containers and making sure the paperwork is filled out correctly so nothing gets held up at the docks. Sometimes things go wrong with the shipping lines or a document gets lost, and we have to spend the whole afternoon sorting it out. We aren't a huge corporation with fancy glass walls. Our desks are a bit cluttered and the tea man comes around twice a day. We’ve worked with many different people over the years. It’s just steady work that requires a lot of patience with the rules and regulations. We stay busy enough just keeping up with the daily tasks. It’s a tight space but it works for what we do. There is usually a radio playing softly in the background to keep us going during the long afternoons when the paperwork piles up high.
