Our workspace is at number 34 in the Shri Industrial Estate. We are on 2nd Hasnabad Lane in Santacruz West. The estate is a bit of a maze with all the different units, but we’ve been in this one for a good while. We handle export work, which mostly means a lot of checking lists and packing things up. Our office is more of a workshop really. There are boxes everywhere and the sound of the tape dispenser is going all day long. We don’t have any fancy reception area. If you come by, you’ll walk right into the middle of the work. We have a few big desks and plenty of industrial-sized shelves. Santacruz can be quite loud and dusty, but we just keep the fans on and get through the day. We don’t have many visitors except for the delivery drivers and the occasional client. We’re a small team and everyone knows their job. It’s hard work and it gets hot in the afternoons, especially when we have a big shipment to get out. We don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. We just make sure the items are counted, packed, and sent to the right place. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of business. We’ve been here through many seasons and we just keep on with the same daily routine. It’s how things get done in this part of town.
