C J Textiles is located in Kalbadevi, inside Shop No 631 on Dwarkesh Lane. If you know where Zaveri Bazaar is, we are quite close to that area. This part of the city is always crowded, with people pushing carts and carrying bundles of cloth through the narrow lanes. Our shop is quite small, and we have fabric rolls stacked up everywhere you look. It can be a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside at the same time. We spend our days measuring out material and talking to customers who come in looking for specific patterns. The lighting in the lane isn't the best, so we have a few bright bulbs inside to see the colors properly. Sometimes the heat in Kalbadevi gets really intense, and we just have to keep the small wall fan running at full speed. It’s a noisy place with all the shouting and the sounds of the market right outside our door. We’ve been here for years, and the shop has a certain smell of new cloth and old wood. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people walking by or those who have been coming to us for a long time. The address says something about NH 4 and Tumkur Road too, but that’s probably for a different branch or warehouse; here in Kalbadevi, it's just this one small room filled with textiles. We just keep busy.
