Blue Kitchen

Blue Kitchen is tucked away in Andheri West at 207 Aaram Nagar, Part II. We are right across from the IR, so it is a pretty easy spot to find once you get into the lane. This part of Andheri is always full of energy, with lots of small offices and creative folks running around. Our kitchen isn’t huge, but it is enough for the few of us who work here every day. We start the stoves early in the morning before the sun really starts beating down on the roof. It’s a bit of an old-school building, which we like, though the plumbing acts up now and then. We don't do any big advertising or have a social media person. We just focus on the food we make. Most of the people who eat from our kitchen are regulars who work in the nearby units. We know their names and what they usually like. It feels more like a neighborhood spot than a business sometimes. We’ve had the same delivery guys for a long time, and they know all the shortcuts around the traffic here. When the monsoon hits, the lane outside gets a bit muddy, but we just keep the door open and keep cooking. It’s a busy life, and we are usually tired by the time we lock up at night, but it is good work. We are just happy to be part of the Aaram Nagar community.
