Balaji Watch

Balaji Watch is tucked away in Mumbai, and like everything else in this city, we stay busy. Mumbai is a place where everyone is looking at the time, trying to catch a train or get to a meeting. We are just a small part of that, helping people make sure their watches are actually working. Our shop isn't very large, but we make the most of the space we have. We have shelves lined with different pieces and a counter that has seen a lot of use over the years. We do not do much advertising; people mostly find us by walking past or hearing about us from a friend. There is always a pile of watches waiting to be fixed on the desk. Some just need a new battery, while others have stopped for reasons we have to figure out. We like the challenge of opening up a watch and seeing what is going on inside. It is quiet work in a loud city. We have been doing this for a while now and we have seen all kinds of watches, from the very old to the brand new digital ones. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever is in front of us. It is a steady life here in the middle of Mumbai. This is how we have operated for many years without any fuss or fancy talk.
