Asian Time

Our place is right opposite the flyover bridge on 2nd Main Road. If you know Maruthi Nagar in the Grant Road area, you’ve probably passed us. It’s a bit of a tricky spot with the traffic coming off the bridge, but we've gotten used to the constant hum of cars and bikes. We deal with timepieces, mostly. It’s the kind of work that requires a lot of patience and steady hands. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but it serves its purpose. We open up early and stay until the evening rush starts to die down. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, so we spend a fair bit of time cleaning the glass cases. It’s just how it is when you’re this close to a main road. We see a lot of different people every day. Some are in a hurry, others want to tell us the whole history of the watch they’re carrying. We listen because that’s part of being a local business. There’s no fancy management here, just us doing what we know how to do. We’ve been in this 1st Stage area for a good while. The neighbors are friendly and we all look out for each other. It’s a simple life at Asian Time. We just focus on the task in front of us. Even when the bridge gets noisy outside, we just keep our heads down and work on whatever clock or watch was brought to us that morning.
