Our little shop is inside the Sri Rama Complex over in Girgaon. It’s an old building, and we have been tucked away in here for quite a while now. Girgaon has changed a lot, but our routine stays pretty much the same. We come in, turn on the lights, and start looking at whatever watches were left with us the day before. We don't have a big storefront on the main road, so most of our customers are people who live in the complex or in the nearby lanes. It is a quiet place to work, which is good when you are dealing with tiny watch parts that can easily get lost. We handle battery replacements, glass repairs, and sometimes the mechanical stuff if it’s not too complicated. We have a few old clocks on the walls too, though not all of them show the right time. It’s just me and a helper most days. We drink a lot of tea while we work. The space is a bit cramped with all the boxes and tools, but it works for us. We don't use any fancy computer systems to track things; we just write it down in a ledger. It’s how we’ve always done it. If you need something fixed, you just bring it by and we will tell you when to come back. We aren't in any rush, and we like to do things the old-fashioned way without any fuss. It’s a steady way to spend the day in this part of town.
