At Shop No 100 1/1 in Subhash Nagar, there’s usually the sound of metal being cut. That is us, Anand Rolling Shutter Fabricators. We’ve been based in Bhandup West for a long time. Our shop isn't very large, so things are stacked up against the walls. It’s mostly iron, steel, and the tools we use for the shutters. It’s dusty work and our hands are usually covered in grease or soot. That’s just part of the job here. We spend most of our time measuring pipes or welding frames together. People from the neighborhood stop by to ask about repairs or new shutters for their own shops. We don't have a fancy office or a secretary. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us working in the back. Subhash Nagar is a busy area, so there’s always something happening outside the door. We keep the machines running through the day. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just wait it out and start again. It’s a straightforward business. We make the shutters, we fix them when they get stuck, and we help out the local shops around Bhandup. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy. We don’t have a big website or anything like that. People just know where to find us. Just look for the shop with all the metal frames outside. That’s us. We stay open until the sun goes down and the last job is wrapped up for the day.
