Amar Exports

Amar Exports is based in the Waman Patil Industrial Estate in Chembur. If you know the area, you know Waman Patil Marg is always busy with tempos and lorries. Our space is tucked inside the estate, surrounded by other warehouses and small factories. It gets quite humid here in Mumbai, so we keep the fans running all day long just to stay comfortable. We deal with exports, so there are always stacks of wooden crates and cardboard boxes piled up near the entrance. A lot of our time goes into checking the labels and making sure the counts are correct. It’s not the most exciting work, but it needs to be done carefully so nothing goes wrong. We have a small office tucked in the corner where we handle the paperwork. Sometimes the courier guys are late, which can be a real headache, but we manage to sort it out. The canteen nearby makes decent snacks, which is where we usually end up for lunch most days. We don’t have a website with fancy photos or a big lobby with a receptionist. It’s just a practical workspace where we pack things up and ship them out to their destinations. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that right now. Most of the staff has been here for a long time, so we all know how the routine goes.
