Ajay Time

We are located in the Rangoli Time Complex, right near the old Premier Cinema on Nirnay Nagar Road. Parel is always a bit crowded, and our shop at B 2 is no different. We spend a lot of time looking at tiny parts and making sure everything is ticking right. It’s a quiet kind of work compared to the noise outside on the street. People come in with all sorts of old watches and clocks that have stopped working. Sometimes it’s just a battery, other times it’s something more complicated that takes a few days. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the area over the years. The cinema nearby brings in a bit of a crowd, but mostly it’s locals who have lived here for decades. The shop is small and filled with the sound of ticking. It can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. We keep our tools organized on the workbench, though it usually looks like a mess by the end of the day. There’s always someone stopping by just to chat or ask the time, which is funny considering where we are. We don't have a big corporate setup. It's just a local shop in a busy part of Mumbai. We try to be helpful when someone walks through the door. It's honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we lose track of time ourselves because we are so focused on the gears and springs inside the cases.
