You can find us at 15 Azad Shopping Centre, which is right opposite the Goregaon Railway Station. It’s a very busy spot, as you can imagine with the trains running all the time. Being near the Sardar Industrial Estate on Ajwa Road means there are always people moving about. Our shop, Aai Art Jewellery, is small but we try to keep it looking nice. We have these glass cases filled with earrings, bangles, and necklaces. They aren't real gold or anything, just nice art jewellery that people wear for parties or just every day. Sometimes the lights in the shopping centre flicker a bit, but we make do. We spend a lot of time polishing the glass because people are always putting their hands on it to see the designs closer. It gets quite loud with the station so close, but you get used to the announcements and the sound of the tracks. We’ve been in Goregaon West for a while now. Most of our customers are just people catching a train who want to buy something small on their way home. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us here making sure everything stays in its place. It’s a bit of a squeeze when it’s raining and everyone crowds into the centre to stay dry. We just keep the displays tidy and wait for the next person to come in.
