A One Watch

A One Watch is based in the Air View Building over in Tulsi Nagar. We are at number 13 in the Udhnagam area of Santacruz East. It’s a bit of a trek to find us if you aren't from the area, but once you’re in Tulsi Nagar, most people can point you toward the building. You can hear the planes taking off and landing since we are so close to the airport. It’s a sound you just stop hearing after a few weeks of working here. The shop is a simple room with my desk and a few shelves for the watches that are waiting to be picked up. I do a lot of basic repairs, like fixing buckles or putting in new glass when someone drops their watch on the pavement. I keep a lot of different straps in stock because people like to change the look of their watches every now and then. Leather, plastic, metal—we have a bit of everything tucked away in the drawers. Santacruz East is a busy place with a lot of people living in small spaces, so they appreciate having a place nearby to get things fixed. I don't have any fancy machines, just my hands and the tools I’ve had for a decade. It’s a small business, and I run it mostly by myself. I like being my own boss and seeing the same faces come through the door every month.
