57 Touch Art & Jewellery

Our place, 57 Touch Art & Jewellery, is located in the Laxmi Niwas Building in Goregaon West. Specifically, we are in unit 2/244. It is one of those typical Goregaon buildings that has seen a lot of years. The stairs are a bit narrow, and the hallways can be dark, but once you get inside our space, it’s a different story. We have set up our benches near the windows to get as much natural light as possible, which is important when you are working with jewelry. The room is often cluttered with sketches, tools, and half-finished pieces, but we know where everything is. It’s a very hands-on environment. We don't have a fancy reception area or anyone to greet you at the door; you just walk in and find us working. Most of our neighbors in Laxmi Niwas are families or other small offices, so it’s a quiet enough environment during the day. We spend a lot of time talking about the designs and how to fix certain issues that pop up with the materials. It is a slow process sometimes, and we don't like to rush things. We have a small kettle in the corner for making coffee, which helps us get through the long afternoons. It’s just a regular workshop where we put in the effort and try to keep things moving along.
