St Thomas Residential School

St Thomas Residential School is situated right near Ballalbagh Circle on M G Road. Like many places in Kodialbail, it’s a very central location in Mangalore. Since we are a residential school, it’s a bit different because some students and staff stay here overnight. The building is older and has that solid feel to it. We have dormitories for the kids who live on-site and separate areas for the daytime classes. It can get a bit lonely in the evenings when the day students leave, but there’s usually a group of us around the dining area for dinner. The kitchen stays busy preparing meals for everyone. Being near Ballalbagh Circle means we have all the local shops nearby, which is handy when we need to pick up supplies or snacks. The school day starts early for those living here, and there is a lot of routine involved in keeping everyone on track. We don't have any grand architecture; it’s just a series of rooms used for sleeping, eating, and studying. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the floors are worn down from years of walking. It’s a practical home and school for many people. We just try to keep things running smoothly and make sure the students are where they are supposed to be, whether it is in class or in their dorms.
