St Thomas Public School

If you go to the 4th floor of Sanu Palace on M G Road, you will find St Thomas Public School. Being in a building like Sanu Palace in Kodialbail means we are right in the heart of Mangalore’s commercial area. It’s a bit different than a standalone school since we are up on one of the higher floors. We have to use the stairs or the lift to get up there every morning. The view from the windows shows the busy street below and the tops of other buildings. Because space is a bit tight in a commercial building, we have to stay organized. The classrooms are lined up along the corridor, and the office is right near the entrance. It gets quite loud outside with the traffic on M G Road, but the windows do a decent job of keeping the noise down. We don't have a big open field for a playground, so the students mostly spend their breaks in the common areas or inside the rooms. It’s a functional setup for families who live or work near Kodialbail. We spend a lot of time moving desks around to make more room for activities. The hallways can get crowded when classes change over, but we’ve gotten used to the tight fit. It’s a straightforward school, and we just focus on getting the daily lessons finished without much distraction from the city noise.
