St Thomas High School

St Thomas High School is found at No.B-1 in the Divya Deepa Arcade. We are right in Kankanady, Mangalore, with the pin code 575002. It’s a bit unusual for a school to be in an arcade, but it makes us very easy to find. Kankanady is a major hub in the city, so there are always buses and people moving around nearby. We don't have a big open field for a playground, which is just the reality of being in a busy commercial area. We make the most of the rooms we have inside the building. It’s a practical setup for a city school. We aren't a corporate-run place with a lot of polish. We are just a group of teachers and staff doing our thing in this corner of the arcade. Sometimes the noise from the street and the other shops can be heard, but it just feels like part of being in Kankanady. We don't have a fancy website or a lot of glossy photos. We just provide a place for the local kids to come and get their education. The arcade is a landmark itself, so when we tell people where we are, they usually know exactly where to go. It’s a bit cramped at times, but we’ve managed to create a good little community here. We just take it one day at a time and focus on what’s happening in the classrooms. It's a simple life for us here in the middle of town. The stairs can be steep sometimes.
