St Shri Ram Memorial Higher Secondary School

We've been here at St Shri Ram Memorial Higher Secondary School for quite some time now. Our building is out in Rehaman Nagar, Natekal, which is part of the Manjanady Village area near Assaigoli Post. It’s a bit of a drive from the main Mangalore city center, but it’s quiet out here, which helps the kids focus. Most mornings, you’ll see the buses pulling in and students running around the gates before the first bell rings. We have different classrooms for the older kids in the higher secondary sections. It’s a standard school setup with desks, blackboards, and a small playground area where they spend their breaks. Sometimes the weather gets really humid, but we just keep the fans going and get on with the lessons. The staff room is usually a bit messy with notebooks and tea cups, especially during exam season when there is a lot of grading to do. We don't have anything too fancy, just the basics that a school needs to keep running day to day. People from around Natekal and the nearby villages know where we are. It’s a local place where families have been sending their children for years. We try to keep things organized, though sometimes the morning assembly takes a bit longer than planned if there are announcements. It's just a regular part of life here in this corner of Mangalore, and we do our best with what we have.
