Sri Krishna Granites

Down at Plot No. 394 in K. K. Nagar, you’ll find our little granite setup. It’s called Sri Krishna Granites, but mostly people just know us as the place on the corner with all the stone slabs leaning against the walls. It’s a lot of work keeping this place running. We spend most of our mornings moving heavy slabs around with the crane, and sometimes the noise is a bit much for the neighbors, though nobody really complains much anymore. The yard is a bit cramped because we try to keep a good variety of granite on hand. People walk in looking for something for their kitchen counters or maybe a bathroom floor. We don't have a showroom with lights or anything like that. You just walk through the rows of stone and see what catches your eye. Some of the pieces have been sitting there for a while, catching the dust. We try to keep them clean, but it’s a constant battle with the wind around here. Our staff is just a few local guys who know their way around a stone cutter. We don't do much advertising; mostly it’s just people seeing the sign or hearing about us from someone else in the neighborhood. It’s a regular job for us. We open up early, get the cutting done before it gets too hot, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s just how things are at Plot 394. We are just here doing our thing day in and day out.
