Palani Marbles & Granite

If you’re driving down P. H. Road in Maduravoyal, you’ll find us at Plot No. 411 To 414. We are right near the post office, so it’s a spot most people know. The traffic on the main road can be a bit much sometimes, but we’re used to the noise by now. We have a lot of marble and granite sitting out in the open. It’s a big lot, and we try to keep the different types of stone separated so we can find things easily. Moving these slabs is no joke. You need a steady hand and a lot of patience. We have a few guys who have been with us for years, and they know the stone better than anyone. The yard gets hot in the afternoon, and the polished surfaces can really reflect the glare. We usually have some water or tea nearby because the dust makes your throat dry. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t do much advertising; people just see the stacks from the road and pull in. Sometimes they’re looking for something specific for a kitchen or a floor, and we just walk them around the rows until they see something they like. It’s a lot of walking and a lot of lifting. We’ve been here long enough that the postman doesn't even have to look at the number anymore. We just keep the yard open and handle the daily work as it comes without too much fuss.
