Kkram Granite Industry

We’ve been here at 277, East Marret Street, for quite a while now. Dealing with granite is just what we do every day. It’s heavy work, mostly dusty too, but someone has to cut and polish these slabs. My father used to say the stone tells you when it’s ready. Sometimes it’s loud in the workshop with the saws running, so if you come by, you might have to shout a bit. We keep different colors of stone around the yard. People come in looking for something for their kitchen or maybe a floor, and we just show them what’s in stock. There’s no fancy showroom here, just the slabs leaning against the walls. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially when the sun hits the stone. We mostly just focus on getting the cuts right. Sometimes the edges aren't perfect the first time, so we go back and fix them. It’s just us working here, trying to keep up with the orders that come through the door. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are on the street. If you need a piece of granite, you just walk in and we see what we can find for you. It's a simple setup. We try to be fair with how we work. The trucks come and go, bringing in new blocks from the quarries. We've got grease on the machines and stone dust on our boots. It's just a normal day for us at Kkram Granite Industry.
