Shree Jiwan Ram Granites

Our business is located at No. 29 Chitrakara Street. It’s a narrow street, and we’ve been here for quite some time. We handle different types of granites for all sorts of building work. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be careful how we stack the slabs. If you walk down the street, you’ll see our sign and the stones leaning against the walls inside. It’s a local operation. Usually, it’s just me and a couple of guys helping with the heavy lifting. Granite is heavy, and moving it by hand takes a lot of effort. We get a lot of dust on our clothes by the end of the shift. Most of our customers are from the neighborhood or nearby areas. They come in looking for something for a kitchen or maybe a small repair job. We don’t do any big marketing. We just open the doors in the morning and wait to see who stops by. Sometimes we have to order specific stones if someone wants a color we don't have on the floor. It takes a few days for the truck to arrive. We try to keep things simple and honest. The street can be busy during the day with people coming and going. We’ve grown used to the pace here. It’s just a regular granite shop where we work hard and hope for a good day. We have various pieces of black and grey stone mostly. It stays cool inside the shop even when it is hot out.
