Shiv Stones

Shiv Stones is situated at 106, Mahamayee Residency on Vandiyur Main Road in Melamadai. It’s a pretty easy place to find if you’re in that part of Madurai. We deal with stones of all kinds, mostly granite and marble for different types of construction. Most of our day is spent talking to contractors or homeowners about what they need for their floors or counters. It’s a practical business. We don't go in for big advertisements or fancy brochures. We just show people what we have and tell them how it works. Melamadai is a good area to be in, and being on the main road helps people spot us without too much trouble. The office isn't much to look at—just a place to sit and do the billing and talk. We have samples lying around so people can see the texture and color for themselves. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a fan and some good company to keep things moving. We aren't a giant corporation, just a local business trying to make a living. Sometimes the stone yard gets a bit messy with offcuts and dust, but that’s just the nature of the work. We take things as they come. The road outside can be quite noisy with all the lorries going past, but we've gotten used to it over the years. We started Shiv Stones because we saw a need for someone who just sells decent stone.
