Raj Granite

Raj Granite is located over at No. 25a/83a on New Coolege Road in the Nagal Nagar area. It’s a pretty standard spot for a stone business. We have been in this location for a good while now, and the neighbors all know us. The road outside gets quite a bit of foot traffic and people on scooters going about their business. Inside the yard, it is mostly just stacks of granite and the sound of slabs being moved around. It is a physical job, and we usually end the day pretty tired. We don't have any of those glossy brochures or a front desk with a receptionist. Usually, you’ll just find one of us walking around the yard or sitting near the entrance. We keep the slabs organized as best as we can, though it gets a bit cluttered when a new shipment arrives. The weather really dictates our day—if it’s raining, everything gets slick and we have to be extra slow. When it’s sunny, the stone gets hot to the touch. We just provide what people need for their floors or counters. It’s a simple way to make a living, and Nagal Nagar is a decent place to be based. Most of our day is spent talking to contractors or just moving the inventory around to make space for more coming in.
