Green Royal

You can find us right on Dhanappa Mudali Street, inside the Kathir Palace building. It’s a busy part of Madurai, especially with the Midland Hotel right across from us. The street is always full of people, bikes, and the sounds of the city. We start pretty early here because that’s just how Madurai is. The smell of coffee usually fills the hallways by six in the morning. We spend most of our time keeping the rooms tidy and helping folks figure out where to go in the city. It’s not a huge, sprawling place, but we have enough space for everyone to feel settled. Some days are faster than others, especially when there are festivals at the temple nearby. We do our best to keep the dust out, but with the windows open to catch a breeze, it’s a constant job. Our staff is mostly local, so they know the shortcuts around the neighborhood. We don't have a lot of big speeches about what we do. We just make sure the beds are made and the water is hot. It's a practical spot for people who are in town for a few days of work or to see the sights. We’re just a regular part of the street here, trying to do a good job for the people who choose to stay with us.
