Festival Bar

We are located at number 106, tucked inside the Chentoor Hotel on West Perumal Maistry Street. If you’re in Madurai, you probably know the Thangam Theatre; we are right opposite that. It’s a busy part of the city, 625001, and the street is almost always full of people. There’s a lot of history on this road, and being across from an old theatre means there’s always something to look at. The bar itself is a simple place. We don’t have those bright, flashing lights or anything too modern. It’s more of a traditional spot where you can just sit down. The heat in Madurai can be a lot, so people usually come in to get out of the sun for a while. We’ve been here long enough that we don't need to put up big signs. People know where the Chentoor Hotel is. The staff here is pretty relaxed. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, with new shops opening and old ones closing, but we’re still here doing our thing. It can get pretty loud when a movie lets out across the street, but that’s just part of the charm of being in this location. We don’t claim to be the fanciest place in town, just a regular bar on a busy street where the service is steady and the drinks are cold. We focus on keeping the atmosphere easygoing for everyone who stops by after a long day of work.
