Tourist Nest Restaurant

Tourist Nest Restaurant is part of our guest house up here in Manali. We are located right next to the Dragon Guest House, which is a place most people know if they’ve spent some time in this part of town. It’s a bit quieter up here than down by the main market, which our guests usually like. The restaurant isn't very large. It’s just a few tables and a kitchen where we cook basic meals. We don't have a team of professional chefs. It’s mostly just us and a couple of helpers making food that tastes good after a long day out in the cold. When the tourist season is busy, the kitchen stays going from early morning until late at night. We serve the people staying in our rooms and also anyone walking past who looks hungry. In the winter, things slow down a lot because of the snow, but we stay open as long as we can. We spend a lot of our time making sure there’s enough wood for the heaters and that the kitchen is stocked. It’s a simple setup. We don't have any fancy decorations or a complicated menu. We just offer a place to sit and eat while you look at the mountains. It’s been our life for many years now. We’ve met people from all over the world who stop by for a meal. It’s a good way to live, even if it’s hard work.
