Curry By The River Restaurant

Curry By The River Restaurant is part of the Quality Inn & Suites River Country Resort in Manali. We are located right off National Highway 21 in the Rangari area. It’s a beautiful spot because of the mountains and the river nearby, though we spend most of our time inside the kitchen or the dining room. Being near NH-21 means we see a lot of tourists who are just passing through Manali or staying at the resort. The weather here changes so fast, so we’re always adjusting things. It’s not a corporate-style setup; we just try to be helpful to whoever walks through the door. The staff lives around Rangari mostly, so we are all locals who know the roads well. Sometimes the highway gets blocked with snow or traffic, and things get a bit quiet, but usually, there's a steady stream of people. We keep the place running every day, making sure the tables are set and the floors are swept. It’s a lot of work keeping a restaurant going in a resort town, but we enjoy the views when we get a break. The name says it all really, we’re just by the river and we serve curry. No big mystery or complicated story behind it. We’re just a small part of the Manali scene. Most days it's just about getting the orders out and keeping the place warm for visitors.
