City Choice Restaurant

Up here in Kullu, things move a bit slower than they do in the big cities down south. We are over in Shastri Nagar. It's a nice enough area to be in. City Choice Restaurant has been around for some time now. We get a mix of locals and people just passing through the mountains on holiday. The weather changes fast here, so we keep the doors shut tight when the cold wind picks up in the evening. Inside, it's just a basic restaurant. We have wooden tables and some old chairs we've had for years. They still hold up fine even if they creak a little. We do the cooking ourselves, mostly stuff that fills you up after a long day. It’s not a five-star hotel, just a place to sit down and relax. Sometimes we run out of a certain dish by the evening if it's been a busy day for us. We don't mind that, it just means we didn't waste any food. The kitchen gets quite warm, which is actually pretty good during the winter months. We share the building with a few other small shops. You can see the hills from the street right outside our front door. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes the paperwork piles up on the back desk. It’s just how it goes when you’re busy with the stove and customers. We don't spend money on advertising. Most people find us because they live nearby.
