The Orchard Restaurant

The Orchard is part of Apple Country up in the Log Huts area of Manali. We’re tucked away in the Kullu district, quite a bit higher up than the main part of town. It’s very quiet here compared to the Mall Road. We have a lot of trees around the building, which is why we went with the name. Most of the structure is made of wood and stone, which is pretty standard for this part of the mountains. It gets incredibly cold in the winter, so we spend a lot of time making sure the indoor area stays comfortable for anyone who stops by. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that; it’s just us up here in the hills. Most of the people who work here live in the nearby villages and walk to work every morning. We serve the kind of food that keeps you warm when the temperature drops. Sometimes when the weather is bad, our supply trucks take a bit longer to get up the road, but we always find a way to make do. It’s a slow-paced life, and we don't feel the need to rush things. We aren't looking to be a big chain. We just like being a local spot in the mountains.
