Sun Park Restaurant

Our restaurant is located inside the Hotel Sun Park in Manali. It is a place that sees a lot of different people, from backpackers to families on vacation. Manali can be quite chaotic during the summer months, but our spot is tucked away enough to feel like a bit of a break. We have a lot of windows so you can see the trees and the mountains while you eat. The decor is pretty basic, mostly wood and simple chairs, which fits the mountain vibe. We start early in the morning with breakfast for the hotel guests, and things do not really slow down until after dinner. The weather here changes fast, so one minute it is sunny and the next we are closing the windows because of a sudden chill. Our kitchen is not huge, but we manage to put out a good variety of dishes. The staff has to work hard, especially when the hotel is full. We do not try to be a high-end gourmet place. We just want to serve food that makes people feel comfortable after a long day of sightseeing or trekking. Sometimes the supply trucks take a while to reach us because of the mountain roads, so we have to be flexible with what we offer. It is a practical, local operation. We have been here in Manali for a long time and we have seen the town grow, but the mountains stay the same.
