Snow Lion Dhaba

We started Snow Lion Dhaba a few years back on the road out of Manali. It is located at 13, Manali - 175131, Km Ahead. This part of the mountains is pretty quiet, but the road gets busy with tourists and trucks. We keep the place open for anyone needing a meal or a cup of tea while they travel. It is a simple setup with basic tables and a small kitchen. Most of our day is spent making sure the stove stays lit and cleaning up the benches. We don't have many employees, just a couple of us who do the cooking and the dishes. It’s hard work because the winters get very cold up here. We have to bring in supplies from the main town often. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it keeps the wind out. We see a lot of people who are tired from the long drive. We just give them a place to sit for a bit. There is always something that needs fixing, like a leaky tap or a loose board. We don’t do any advertising. People just see the sign as they drive past. It’s a slow pace of life most of the time. We are just happy to have a steady stream of travelers stopping by. That's about all there is to it. We just keep the kitchen going.
