Panaroma

Panaroma is situated within Hotel Daffodil on Kanyal Road in Manali. We are up in the Rangri area, which is a bit away from the main hustle of the Mall Road. It’s a lot quieter up here, and you get a decent view of the hills when the weather is clear. Being part of a hotel means we have a lot of different responsibilities. We look after the guests staying in the rooms but also welcome anyone walking along Kanyal Road. The Kanyal Road climb is steep, so people are usually tired when they get here. We don't have those fancy elevators, just stairs that can be a bit of a workout. The air is fresh, but it gets quite cold in the winters, so we spend a lot of time making sure the place feels warm enough for everyone. The building itself is sturdy, and we’ve tried to keep the interior simple and practical. We aren't a big chain or anything. It’s just us running the daily operations. Some days are slow, especially when it’s off-season and the snow is heavy, but we stay open anyway. Our staff mostly lives nearby, so they know the mountain roads well. We don't have any fancy mission statements. We just provide a place to eat and rest. It’s a lot of work keeping a place going in the mountains, with the steep roads and the changing weather, but we’ve gotten used to it. We just take it one day at a time up here in Rangri.
