Niclacs Foods

If you travel down the road towards Kallachi, you will find us at number 12 in the Kodiyura area. Niclacs Foods operates out of a fairly old building that has seen better days, but it serves our purpose well enough. We start our work quite early before the sun gets too high because the heat can be a bit much once we get the equipment running. There is a lot of noise from the road outside, especially with the buses passing by Kallachi via the main route. Inside, the space is mostly taken up by large tables and stainless steel bins. We spend a lot of time washing things and making sure the preparation area is tidy before the next round of work starts. It’s not a very glamorous job, and your hands get tired by the afternoon from all the chopping and packing. The neighbors around Kodiyura often see us loading up the small vans that take our products out. We don't have a big team, just a handful of local guys and women who know the routine by heart now. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a specific order, and the only light comes from the few bulbs we have hanging from the ceiling. It’s just a local food business trying to keep things moving. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations because we are too busy actually making the food and cleaning up the mess afterward.
