Thekkepuram Catering Service is based right here in Kuttichira Calicut. This part of town has a lot of history, and we have been part of the local scene for quite some time now. We aren't a big chain or anything like that. It is just a local catering service run by people who live right here in Kuttichira. Most of our work comes from families in Calicut who have weddings or small prayers at home. We know how things are done around here, so we don't need much instruction. Our kitchen is always smelling of spices and woodsmoke. It is hard work, especially when we have to cook for hundreds of people at once. We don't have any fancy websites or marketing people. People just know our name because they’ve eaten our food at someone else's house. We spend our days mostly prepping and cleaning. It is a messy job, but someone has to do it. Kuttichira Calicut is a tight community, and we like being a part of it. We use the same recipes we've used for years. We don't try to change things up just for the sake of it. If it works, we keep doing it that way. Sometimes we get tired, but when we see people eating, it feels okay. We are just here doing our job in the heart of Calicut.
