Swappana Cattering

Our place, Swappana Cattering, is located over in Tharambattu Thazham. It’s not a huge operation, just a local kitchen where we get things done. We have been in this neighborhood for a bit now, and most of the folks living around Tharambattu Thazham have seen us around. We mostly focus on getting the food out to whoever needs it for their small parties or get-togethers. The kitchen stays hot most of the day, and we are usually busy prepping vegetables or getting the rice started early in the morning. It’s honest work, even if it gets tiring sometimes. We don't use any big fancy machines, just the usual pots and pans we've always had. Sometimes we run a bit behind when the orders pile up, but we always manage to finish. You won't find any glossy brochures here. We just write things down and get to cooking. The locals know where to find us if they need something to eat for an event. It gets quite noisy when the stoves are all going at once. We’ve lived and worked in Tharambattu Thazham for years, so we know the roads and the shortcuts pretty well. It helps when we have to move the food quickly. We don't talk much about what we do, we just do it. It’s just a way to make a living and keep the community fed. That is basically all there is to Swappana Cattering.
