We operate out of the S Lm Building on Vaakkadavu Road in Kadalundi. Our main thing is catering and getting food ready for different events around the area. It’s a big kitchen with plenty of space for the large pots we use. Kadalundi is a nice spot to work, even if the road gets a bit crowded with delivery trucks sometimes. We spend most of the day prepping ingredients and monitoring the cooking. It’s a lot of physical work, especially when we have several orders going out at once. The kitchen can get pretty loud with all the activity. We don't have a formal office where you sit down; usually, we just talk to people in the main work area. The building itself is plain and we just focus on keeping everything clean and the food moving. Most of our recipes are things we've been making for years. We don't use anything too fancy, just good ingredients we can get locally. Sometimes we run behind if an order is bigger than expected, but we usually catch up. It’s an honest way to make a living, just cooking for the community and making sure the catering goes where it needs to. The floor is usually wet from cleaning and there's always a smell of something cooking in the air. It’s just how we operate here. There's always a stack of containers waiting to be filled by the door.
