India Foods & Flavours

We are located at number 554 in Pantheerankavu. It is a small place, mostly filled with large bags and plastic containers. The smell is the first thing that hits you when you walk through the door. It is a strong mix of different spices and all the things we use for flavoring. On some days the air is so heavy it makes you sneeze quite a bit. We don’t have a lot of staff, just a couple of us doing the packing and the sorting every day. The wooden table we use for weighing everything is a bit wobbly, but we’ve made it work for years. We get our supplies in big sacks and then we have to break them down into smaller portions. It is repetitive work, but we are used to it. The neighborhood around here is mostly quiet, which is nice for focusing. We don’t have a fancy storefront with big glass windows or anything. It is just a regular door that we leave open during the day for the air. Sometimes the rain gets in if the wind is blowing from the west. We have to move all the stock back away from the door very quickly then. We have been doing this for a few years now. It started small and honestly, it is still pretty small. We don't have big plans. We just want to keep the quality decent and earn enough to keep the lights on.
