Taratarini Farmer Producer Company Limited is based over in Kolab Nagar Karenga, right in the Koraput area. If you know this part of Orissa, you know it's a lot of hills and a lot of hard work on the soil. We’ve lived here our whole lives. Setting up this producer company was just a way for us to stick together. We use a small space in Karenga to manage our stuff. It isn't much to look at, but it works for what we need. Koraput is a beautiful place, though the roads can be a bit rough when the rain starts. We spend most of our days out in the fields and only come back to the office when there is paperwork that absolutely has to be done. We aren't experts at business, really. We just know how to grow things and how to talk to our neighbors. The 764011 area is where we stay. Sometimes we meet up to talk about the latest crops or what the market is doing. We try to keep it simple. No one here wears a suit. We just want to make sure the people in Kolab Nagar have a bit of a better chance. Taratarini Farmer Producer Company Limited is just us, the local farmers, trying to make a living and looking after the land we’ve always had. It’s a lot of sweat and patience, but that is just how farming goes in Karenga.
