If you know where the Surya Kirana Shop is on Balipeta Street, then you can find us pretty easily. We’re Joypure Farm Llp. It’s a small outfit here in Jeypore. Koraput is a beautiful part of India, though it’s a bit out of the way for some people. We like the quiet pace of life here. Farming is what we know and what we've always done. We aren't a massive corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us working together every day. The street gets a bit dusty in the summer months when the wind picks up. We deal with various crops and farm products. It’s dirty work most of the time. Our hands aren't always clean, but that’s how you know we’re actually doing something useful. We don't have a receptionist sitting at a front desk. If the phone rings, whoever is closest picks it up and tries to help. Usually, it's me or one of the guys from the back shed. We try to keep the shop organized, but with seeds and tools and bags everywhere, it gets messy fast. People stop by after visiting the kirana shop to say hello and chat. We like that. It’s a small community. We’ve been here for a bit and we plan to stay for a lot longer. There’s no big secret to what we do. We just grow things and sell them. Simple as that. We don't use big words to describe it. It's just farming. We hope the rains come on time.
